Objective: To position the online pet subscription service BarkBox as a fun and convenient way for dog owners to indulge their pets, to the VALS experiencers.

Podcast Rationale:

We chose to put our mid-roll ad into the Podcast "My Favorite Murder" because the women are very conversational, have dogs, and appeal to our target. We wanted to show that dogs are your best friend, and even though they might be slightly annoying, you still love them. With BarkBox you can show them this love an easy and convenient way that your dog will enjoy because of it's personalized features.

Radio Rationale:

Our radio ad also focuses on the idea that buying a BarkBox will make you your dog's best friend. We placed the listeners in a movie theater and with a dog and it's owner. We wanted to show that you can't show your dog you love them by taking them to things only humans enjoy, so the only way to show them your gratitude is by buying a BarkBox. This ad took a humorous and exaggerated approach to the product.
